"the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy" (Revelation 19:10)

I recently requested that my pastor baptize my son. He agreed to “in the name of the father, son and holy spirit, I baptize you in Jesus name”. My convictions were solid for the baptism in Jesus name. His convictions for father, son and holy spirit were important to him.

We met on common ground for salvation and the pure will of God. We know that God the father will not accept us without Jesus. He is our reflection of salvation to Him. But he had his convictions from a lineage of pastors of decades.

But his humility and love for God conquered all.

The concept that we can just confess our faith in Jesus and that baptism isn’t necessary is a anti-Christ duplicity. Man-made religion and lack of absolution of the Word. We were once children of wrath and now through faith in Jesus, the bride of Christ.

My deepest desire is for every Shepherd of God, who sacrificially devotes his entire life to the kingdom of God, to stand before Him on judgment day and hear those beautiful words “ well done thou good and faithful servant”.

Walking away from religion and the doctrines of men can be a challenging step. God has shown us His plan and how this process can be seamless and powerful.
